Customising Software:

This unit is about making additions and changes to common Microsoft Office Systems applications, such as word processing programs and spreadsheets, to make them easier to use. These additions and changes, or customisations as they are known, include altering the default settings, modifying the menus and toolbars, creating templates and forms and creating macros and shortcuts.

You are coming to the end of your work experience placement at Mega Trends, a company which manages and promotes local bands. Mega Trends has only been running for a year but a couple of the bands they represent have hit the big time and the company is now struggling to cope with all the work involved. They have several PCs and basic software such as word processing, spreadsheets and databases but nobody working at the company knows how to use the software to make it easier to cope with all the extra work.
